Nokia to jettison Symbian? A very interesting article by Arcchart, a London-based wireless consulting firm, about some of the reasons Nokia could dump Symbian in favor of Linux. It doesn't seem too farfetched to me at all; another option would be replacing Symbian with S40 version 3. This upgraded os will have many of the same multimedia capabilities as Symbian, but won't require Nokia to pay a $5/phone license fee to Symbian.  ¶ 10:05 PM
